Our History

In the early days, Worden focused mainly on chocking fire trucks, loading docks & utility vehicles. Now we chock anything with wheels and some uses that have none.

The HWC, a pre-curser to the modern HWG, was designed and produced in 1949 and widely used by the 1950's. HWC's were immediately popular because of their patented, highly advanced features that were uncommon at that time. Worden Safety was incorporated in 1965 and by this time our chocks were extensively distributed nationwide. We have expanded our line-up to include wheel chocks for every vehicle or rolling device conceivable, including yours.
