We introduced the first modern wheel chock in 1949!

Our History

Worden has a long history of helping companies safely park trucks under potentially serious and often hazardous conditions. In 1949, our new HWC was immediately popular and widely used by the 1950's. It had patented, highly advanced features that were uncommon at that time. Worden Safety was incorporated in 1965 and HWC were now heavily distributed nationwide for loading docks and fire trucks. HWC model was redsigned in 1985 to HWG to reflect design changes that greatly enhance coefficients of friction. It's hard to imagine that chocks were not developed before Worden, but all-in-all, we're the guys who designed the first modern chock.Worden Safety was incorporated in 1965 and by this time our chocks were extensively distributed nationwide. We have expanded our line-up to include wheel chocks for every vehicle or rolling device conceivable, including yours.
